The james kingham project (jkp) is a community rehabilitation project, based on social learning to enable and empower people to gain more control over their use of alcohol and supports individuals in believing ‘it’s ok not to use drugs’. PUKE, within jkp provides a dedicated outreach service to young people within Bedfordshire.
We have the following new vacancies to be based at our Luton offices:
2 x Tier Two Alcohol Workers, jkp
37 hrs per week, £19,700pa
Key responsibilities:
To provide interventions and support for people with alcohol related problems
1 x Tier Three Alcohol Worker, jkp
37 hrs per week, £22,820pa
Key responsibilities:
To provide support and rehabilitation programmes for people with alcohol related problems. Promote and support jkp through internal growth, contribute to development and deputise for the Team Manager when required
We have the following new vacancies within the PUKE team based at Luton:
1 x Young Persons Alcohol Primary Care Worker*
37 hrs per week £19,700 pa - £22,820pa
Key responsibilities: To provide interventions and on-going support with alcohol related health problems in Primary Care and Acute settings
1 x Alcohol Worker, PUKE*
37 hrs per week, £19,700pa – 22,820pa
Key responsibilities:
To provide an assertive outreach alcohol and associated drugs service, targeting young people on their own territory within the Luton area
*These two posts require working 1 in 3 weekends on Fri and Sat 10pm – 3.00am to attend the hospital
Double time will be paid and hours are within the normal 37 hour working week
1 x Alcohol Worker, PUKE, South Beds
15 hrs per week, £19,700pa - £22,820pa pro rata
12 months contract, subject to continuation funding
Key responsibilities:
To provide an assertive outreach alcohol and associated drugs service, targeting young people on their own territory within the South Beds area
All posts are currently funded until 31 March 2011 subject to continued funding
For all posts, you need to be flexible in your approach to this client group, be able to cope with a busy workload, able to prioritise, work on your own initiative, be an integral part of the team and have excellent communication skills.
Job share or part time positions will be considered.
