About PUKE (Prevention Understanding Knowledge Education)

PUKE is a specialist alcohol and other drugs service for young people in Luton and Bedfordshire. We are not against alcohol, but we talk to young people about its effects to the body and how it changes the way you act and think. If you know what the risks are then you can make your own choice about drinking. We talk to young people about sensible drinking, staying safe and looking after your mates and support young people to have the confidence to say NO to alcohol and other drugs if they want to.

PUKE is for ALL young people in Bedfordshire. You can come and see us at our base in BEDFORD or LUTON or we can come and see you where you are. We can see you on your own or in a group. Everything that you tell us will remain private and kept between you and us. The only exception to this is if you or anyone else is as risk of physical or mental harm or neglect. You might want to talk about you own drinking or perhaps someone you know who’s drinking is worrying you. Or it may just be that you want to know more about alcohol and other drugs generally. We will answer your questions and see how we can work together to solve any problems.

If you want to get in touch you can phone us, email or drop in to the project. You can also check out the PUKE website at www.asc-puke.co.uk
